Rules and Discussion Night - Monday 3rd May

A Rules and Discussion Night is to be held on Monday 3rd May at the Club House 7 – 9 pm all those people wishing to sit the umpires exam must attend.

Umpires Theory Exam Dates

Monday 10th of May at the club house with people being able to start the exam any time between 5 and 7 pm and the exam usually took between 1 and 1 1/2 hours to complete with a maximum of 2 hours.

A Level 1 Accreditation Course will be held on Sunday 23rd May starting at 9 am and will go for approximately 4 – 5 hours at the Netball Club House. See Ted Beedles for further information.

Umpires needed for all Rep Carnivals:

State Championships:
6th – 8th June at Campbelltown Netball Association courts - KNA require 3 umpires of C grade or higher for 3 days. Please let Ted Beedles know by the 16th April.

State Age Championships:
3rd – 5th July at Newcastle (Championships), Maitland (Division 2), Charlestown (Division 3) and Lakeside (Division 4) - KNA require 4 umpires of C grade or higher for 3 days please see Ted Beedles before the 7th May.

Umpires will also be required for various carnivals in the lead up to State and State Age and to let Ted Beedles know of any interested umpires as soon as possible.

The Nine Steps to become an Umpire

1. Contact your KNAs Umpire Convenor, Regional Convenor or contact the Netball NSW Office
2. Purchase a current Rule Book
3. Sit the Section One Theory Exam
4. Exam dates are T.B.A.
5. Have a pass mark of 70%
6. Umpire Accreditation courses are available, converse with your Umpire Convenor or Regional Convenor about these
7. There is no age limit to become an umpire
8. Invest in a whistle
9. Invest in a good pair of running shoes
